Privacy Policy

Twig Check helps you remember to water and fertilize your houseplants. Here is the short version. The app keeps everything on your device and sends nothing back to the developer, because there is no server and no account behind it.

What the app collects: nothing

Twig Check has no account, no sign-up, and no login, and it collects no personal data about you. It has no analytics and no tracking, so it does not report your name, your email, or how you use the app.

The only figures the developer ever sees come from Apple: aggregate counts like total downloads, plus anonymized diagnostics if you have opted into sharing them in your iOS settings. That comes from Apple under Apple's privacy policy and does not identify you. The app itself sends nothing.

Where your data lives

Everything you add to Twig Check stays on your device: plant names, photos, watering and fertilizing schedules, notes, and your photo journal. To add a plant photo the app can use your camera or let you pick an existing photo, and that image is stored inside the app on your device. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS and never leave your device.

Nothing is uploaded to the developer, and there is no backend. Deleting the app removes the data it kept inside it. One thing sits outside the app: any iCloud backup you have turned on. That backup is Apple's feature, kept in your own private iCloud account, which the developer cannot see.

No ads, tracking, or sharing

Twig Check has no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no AI. It includes no advertising or tracking tools and no third-party components that send your data off the device. Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing to sell, rent, or share. The one exception is the website newsletter, described next, and that email is never sold or shared either.

The website newsletter

The app never asks for your email. The one optional exception is on the website: if you enter your address in the “keep me posted” box on twig.superblob.studio, it is sent to MailerLite, the service that stores the mailing list and sends the occasional update. Only the email you type is stored, only if you submit it, and every update includes an unsubscribe link.

Children

Twig Check is rated 4+ and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights, including GDPR and CCPA

Since the app collects no personal data and the developer never sells or shares any, there is very little for laws like the EU's GDPR or California's CCPA to reach. Your content lives on your own device, so you are already in control: edit or delete any plant, photo, or note in the app at any time, or remove the app to remove the data it kept.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, it will be updated here with a new date at the top. Because the app collects nothing, any changes are likely to be small.
